There are literally thousands of temples across Bali. Small devotional shrines are scattered through the rice fields, in every private compound, even in the grounds of hotels. It is common to see people carrying offerings to their local temple.

Handicrafts, artworks, carvings, pottery, gold and silverware are produced at selected locations around Bali, whilst everything from casual beachwear to tailor-made leather goods can be found around Kuta, Legian and Seminyak. Bargaining is expected, so enjoy yourself.

Bali offers everything from scuba-diving, sailing, parasailing, snorkeling, surfing, windsurfing, ocean rafting, kayaking, and cruising to golf, lawn bowls, squash, tennis mountain cycling, bungee jumping, 4 WD expeditions, elephant safaris and jungle trekking.

For majority of tourists beaches are a must in the mind and probably the biggest single season ticket to paradise. On the east of Bali there are Sanur, Nusa Dua and Candidasa beach. On the west side of Bali there are Kuta, Legian and Jimbaran beaches. On the south side of Bali there is the Indian Ocean while on the north, there is Lovina beach.
